Please, Fence Me In!
Maggie and I are up at the cabin, overseeing the Big Day. Finally, after months and months of waiting for Fence Builders, Inc. to have a bit of free time available, our number came up. Louie Saul and his crew arrived to erect this magnificent, albeit small, structure.
No more 3 a.m fumbling into sweatpants and jackets. No leashes and flashlights. No more walking four dogs at a time! Freedom! Sweet, doggie freedom!
I don't know who was more excited, Maggie or me.
She stood there, quivering, waiting for them to pack up and leave so she could annoint the yard with gratitude. (I will spare y'all that picture, but trust me, I do have it.)
It was good. Very, very good.
Now we sit by the fire, contemplating the wonders of our Universe and waiting for the promised snow and ice that has been promised by the fickle weather service. (Do you realize a mere month from now the chance for snow will be gone and our thoughts will have turned to planting the Spring garden?)
I await what may be my last chance to get snowed in at the cabin with a worm on my tongue (baited breath!)
Happy Thursday!
